At KOLI & OLUM, every book is more than just pages and pictures — it’s part of a bigger mission. From the very beginning, we made a commitment: 10% of all proceeds go toward supporting orphanages across Africa.

Why Orphanages?

Because every child deserves to feel loved and cared for. Yet so many children across Africa grow up without families to provide that. Through our parent company, Ada Ari Books, we partner with orphanages to help bridge that gap — offering not just financial support, but moments of joy, learning, and connection. Supporting orphanages is our way of making sure these little ones know they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

Our giving is never just about writing a check — it’s about making a difference. We have provided:

• Financial support to help with operations and urgent needs
• Books, toys, toiletries, food, clothes, and shoes
• Rent payment (up to one year)

And whenever possible, showing up in person — reading stories, playing games, dancing with bubble machines (always a favorite), and reminding these children that they are seen, celebrated, and loved.

Where We Give

We began in Nigeria, the birthplace of our founder, and have since supported orphanages in Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa, and beyond. Wherever there is genuine need — and trusted partners on the ground — we do our best to show up.
