Our Authors
Ada Ari is the author of every KOLI & OLUM book, from the My First Words language sets to our African folktales.
Here are some of the authors whose books she has helped to publish. Bring their stories home.
Lumi Drives from London to Lagos
Born in Lagos and raised in London, Pelumi made history in 2024 as the first Black woman to drive solo from London to Lagos, in the little purple car she named Lumi.
Her picture book turns that trip into an adventure for little ones, and a gentle lesson in trying brave things.
“Bravery isn’t feeling no fear, it’s choosing to move anyway.”
Olie and His Light, illustrated by Odunze Oguguo
Born in Lagos, shaped by London and raising her two children in the Washington, DC area, Orjiugo is Chief Growth Officer at Fors Marsh by day.
Olie and His Light is her first children’s book: a warm, rhyming bedtime story about the light every child carries inside. Her second is already on the way.
Lumi and Olie, together for $39.98. Ships from our US warehouse.
Ada helps new authors take their picture books from idea to print. Tell us about your story.
