Growing up my uncles would tell me a story about the tortoise in the sky. Reading the story about Mbekwu the turtle brought back warm memories from my childhood. I am now raising my second generation American children and I do not want them to forget their Nigerian roots, this book has been an incredible way to bridge that gap for my 4 and 2 year old who have repeatedly asked me to read this story to them every night for the past 5 nights. The illustrations are perfect and in fact, we love the entire kit. My 4 yr old is learning Igbo words and asking questions about Lagos & Abuja! I wish we had these books when I was younger. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to teach their children about West African culture.
